Adobe today officially released its Photoshop product for Apple’s M1 chip. According to the Adobe, this version offers “significant performance gains” for users on Apple’s M1 chip. Adobe released a beta version of Photoshop for M1 in November, though release marks the first wide availability of the product.
Adobe claims this version provides a 50% performance improvement over Intel Macs: “Our internal tests show a wide range of features running an average of 1.5X the speed of similarly configured previous generation systems.”
Some features are not yet available on the M1 version of the app, for example syncing of user presets and the ability to invite others to edit cloud documents.
