Cloud computing giant Salesforce is joins other Silicon Valley tech companies by announcing a seismic shift in its approach to working habits. It will let any employee work from home indefinitely while also giving employees more freedom over their daily schedules.
Brent Hyder, Salesforce’s Chief People Officer made the following statement:
“As we enter a new year, we must continue to go forward with agility, creativity and a beginner’s mind — and that includes how we cultivate our culture. An immersive workspace is no longer limited to a desk in our Towers; the 9-to-5 workday is dead; and the employee experience is about more than ping-pong tables and snacks”
In a blog post, Salesforce declared the “9-to-5 workday” to be “dead” and said it will allow employees to choose how often, if ever, they return to the office once safe.
